Jean Jaques Rousseau: "Men are born and remain free and remain equal in rights. Social distinctions may be founded only upon the general good."
This represents Jean Jaques Rousseau because he believed that society makes people who they are. Also he said that humans are a blank slate and that what is good for everyone is better than what is good for one person.

John Locke: "The principle of all sovereignty resides essentially in the nation. No body nor individual may exercise any authority which does not proceed directly from the nation."
This represents John Lock because he said that the right to govern comes from the governed.

Baron de Montesquieu: "A society in which the observance of the law is not assured, nor the separation of powers defined, has no constitution at all."
This represents Baron de Montesquieu because his philosophies were all about how power should be separated. He came up with the idea of the three branches of government, which later influenced the US.

Voltaire: "No one shall be disquieted on account of his opinions, including his religious views, provided their manifestation does not disturb the public order established by law."

Obama Dictator Analysis

-Bad economy/crisis: We are in a recession, but it is not too serious that Obama could take advantage of the country.
-Secret Police: Obama has Secret Service
-Propaganda: There are many advertisements centering around Obama
-Control of the media: Obama does not have total control of the media, there are plenty of negative things in the media about him.
-Got church to support them: Not all churches agree with everything Obama does
-Military to support them: Has somewhat control of the military, supports him
-Military Experience: He does not have military experience
-Developed cult of personality: Some people have a strong devotion to Obama, but many are not.
-Eliminated political opponents: Has not necessarily done this, other than winning the election
-Used the school/education system to spread ideas: The education system does not have to teach children about ideas that Obama supports

2. There is somewhat a connection between the type of government and the freedom of its citizens. Though some countries that have the same type of government have different amounts of freedom for their citizens.

Obama Dictator

I think that it is possible that Obama is trying to become a dictator. He was attempting to executively pass laws on gun control. Also, he is passing laws that give him more power. Obama had also promised the country change. Also, the Cybersecurity act of 2009 would give him control of the internet. Although i think it is unlikely that Obama is trying to become a dictator, I think it is possible.
